Spending a day or two in Central Kentucky? You might not realize it, but there are many dining options and activities to enjoy in the area. One of my favorite cities in Central Kentucky is Lexington. It's a mid-sized city with a small town feel and home to The University of Kentucky, Keeneland and the Kentucky Horse Park (to name a few). After a long day of meetings or sightseeing (or both), you may just be looking to find a cozy corner to unwind. I've got the just spot for you.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill located in the very walkable Summit at Fritz Farm

There are an abundance of delicious choices on the Blue Sushi Sake Grill menu. I visited with my pre-teen son on a recent "Blue" trip. Here are our selections and what we recommend!

Dragon Fruit Lemonade. (Love that they have a few fun "mocktail" choices for the kids)

Organic Sencha Hot Tea (there are several hot & cold tea options)

Note: They also have a decent cocktail, sake/wine list. I was just hanging with my little man, so I opted out... But there are a lot of choices to check out on the menu.

Beef Hot Rock (Both an interactive and delectable shareable)

The Crunchy Blue & Crunchy Red Sushi Rolls. (Fun with chop sticks & SO TASTY!)

Hey Lexington business trippers with family along for the ride! ....Pro-Tip: If you're looking for accommodations in the Summit at Fritz Farm, check out the hip & very Lexingtonian vibe Origin Hotel. The Origin Hotel has a nice bar and lobby area. It's a great spot to take your laptop to get some work done in a corner while the kids sleep-in. They also have a pool and it's conveniently located right in the mix. (Picture lots of walkable shops & restaurants!) Highly recommend! (Honestly, even if traveling solo, it's a great choice stay!)

Okay - Just for now, I have one more delicious idea for your visit to Lexington....

While not directly located in the Summit at Fritz Farm, this fro-yo haven is just a quick three minute drive across Nicholasville Road. It's one of our favorite "self serve" spots where you can load up on a wide assortment of frozen yogurt flavors & toppings. As my son says, "There's always room for fro-yo." Take his advice folks... Trust me.

Stop by Orange Leaf off of Tiverton Way.

While there are so many choices, here's what I landed on during my most recent Orange Leaf-capade...

Yogurt Flavors: Cheesecake, Pistachio & Coconut. Toppings: Coconut Flakes, Fresh Strawberries & Almond Slices

Mmmm...
Mmmm...

So, the next time you're in the Bluegrass, I hope you find time to relax a little bit and enjoy some of these Lexington, KY local favorites.
